About Me
I grew up in rural New Hampshire where my connection to the natural world took deep root. As a young adult, I trained at the New England Conservatory of Music and went on to pursue a successful career as a classical singer, performing concerts and principal opera roles in the US and Europe. My name at that time was Beverly Morgan.
In the early ‘90s, I left that career to embark on a journey of deep personal healing and transformation. I traveled and lived in different parts of the world, pursued training in a range of healing modalities, and sought out leading human potential pioneers, most notably Paul Lowe and Emilie Conrad.
While living in Berlin, Germany, I formed my own band, began writing music, and facilitated coaching sessions and workshops focused on personal growth through creative expression. Eventually I returned to the US where I continued my independent work, and began teaching college music courses.
In my own life’s journey I have experienced great joy and reward, but also great pain and devastation. Along the way I’ve been nurtured and challenged by therapists, counselors, mentors and guides – each of whom has shared from her/his wisdom and unique gifts. I became a professional mental health counselor to keep paying those gifts forward.
I list my music degrees among my counseling credentials because being an artist is central to who I am and how I see things as a counselor. And, like music, counseling demands that I put the rigor of training at the service of listening, clear communication and, most of all, heart.
